Any ship you pre-purchase can be bought normally in the game by playing it. You just get it earlier. Also this game isn't just a cheesy PvP game. -_-
It looks to be true, they can't even get the dog fighting module out because of "issues" with the net code.
There weren't any issues with the net code. The original CryEngine net code wasn't designed to scale up to the level required for a game of this size, so the team were left with two options: release a temporary solution that would only work for the dogfighting module but would then have to be thrown out later, wasting development time, or use the permanent code base they wanted that would work with all the other modules going forward, but delaying release by a couple of months. They chose the latter, and in all honesty I'd have done the exact same thing.
We're only a couple of weeks away from the dogfighting module, tops, and there have been views on both sides of the argument so my recommendation to anyone not yet in on SC at this time would be to simply keep an eye on how many alpha slots are left. With any luck there'll still be a few once the dogfighting starts, and at that point you can make a much more informed choice as to whether to get in on it. If they're running really low before then and you're desperately curious, just go for the lowest priced Aurora package.
With over 200 staff, multiple third party speciality Devs and 42+ Million dollars, it looks to this space-farer that Star Citizen is doing everything right and has learned from all the mistakes of Re-birth. The team is amazing when you actually hear and see what they are doing.
Don't take my word for it.........simply check out the Star Citizen website as you can spend weeks looking over all the Dev's work to date, updates, and Space-Lore...........and perhaps want to save your nay saying if you've only glanced at things to date cause it really is an apples to oranges thing.
Again, while I will keep Re-birth in the hope it can improve and restore some of the greatness that Albion Prelude was........, I humbly suggest you will be missing out if you don't spend some time researching Star Citizen.
And I know my fellow dissapointed gamers in Rebirth are saying to my comments the old addage.......fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me !!! Well, I have only one thing to say about that.........May I be smitten with shame and never recover, cause I for one think from my research that it's going to be absolutely kickass.
But whether Star Citizen delivers or not, I for one have already far reaped the rewards of that website and that community and those other almost 500 000 plegers......... and you can choose or not to pre-pledge/buy the game for as little as 30 bucks, or simply wait until the fall when squadron 42 comes out to see. (The prepledge gives Beta benefits including the dogfighting module (almost out) and in the future a planetside and/or first person shooter module prior to the release of the initial missions (squadron 42 in the fall) which will open up into the Sandbox Universe at the end of this year.)
Well, whatever Big Eddy the Poster decides to do with his 50 bucks, my suggestion to him would be to buy both, but know Rebirth has still many challenges and only up to about a 5 out of 10 so far, and Star Citizen is still an unknown but risks nothing to check it out and gains you soon to be played Beta's if you spend the minimum 30 bucks pre-release.
Who in its right mind thought we could Not get money from odiots?
And they tried and succeeded with your ignorance
I'm sure it will turn out better than X Rebirth though.
