Reinforced metal plating
I need this 'ware' very badly. I have 3 stations waiting for it.

I can't produce it, steal it from ships, steal it from stations and/or find it for sale with a faction I can trade with. Paramount Benefactor station is hoarding 46000 units of it but none of it is for sale.

I'm seriously stuck in my game. No I'm not going to edit my save file. How can I get this 'ware'?
I thought about upping my rep with HOA and PMC but its around -29 and it is very hard to gain any rep in the missions.

Hack that station full of it or as I'm doing, make a station that produces it. My first stations, I realized from situations like this (I think everyone has this same problem at some point), is that I'd need to start a station-making-materials-making complex first. I'm almost finished making the fusion reactor arm of one of those stations. It seems to be a sound idea, and the plating was the first thing I finished. Piracy is the only real other option or do both.
-29 is terribly low reputation, you will never fix that.
It's best to build your own construction shop, at least the first part (you can upgrade it later from the RPM you produce).
There's a construction shop in Albion - Inner World - Frozen Circuit, you can camp near the station and wait for NPCs to buy metal, then board the ship which is carrying it once it leaves the zone and enters empty space. Used to do this quite a lot in my previous pirate savegame, before I built my own hardware supplier that produced metal.

scimatar is possible to fix that rep if your willing risk your ship near pmc stations shooting down hostil ships like pirates and the like. But would mean dodging lots of missle launches from the bases. If you dont want to do that hours of hours shooting pirates near pmc stations then edit your file and remove the booster faction from both your faction and pmc to bring it back to default level. I did notice the booster faction has a timer on it though could that mean if you totally avoided pmc in real time your rep would go back to default neutral?

Wow. I forgot about this thread. I restarted my game and ditched the one where I made all of Albion angry at me.

yep, Reputation Boost is only Temporary.eventually it will go back to the relation you have with that Faction by itself. (in fact the boost in case of an attack is absolute="-1.0" (or in other words -30) for a duration of 9 minutes, with a very slow decay rate, so yuor relation may be neutral or even friend, but because of that bosst its reduced to foe for a while

I had the same problem. While i have trade agents on every station in the 3 first systems that you encounter in the campaign, I only found one reinforced metal plating vendor, and ofc he is PMC and i can't but stuff from that station because of the -20 rep loss.

So there had to be more stations out there producing the stuff but in need of materials to actually produce them. Those station will not show on youre trade computer because they all sold out there reinforced metal plating.

Your first station that you have build in the campaign is producing refined metals. And refined metals are the base product to make reinforced metal plating.

What i did was this: I flew to Omicron Lyrae - Eclipse clouds - Ratfish Waters. There i opened the zone map and targetted "Hardware supplier 3" . You go into the tab (right side from the map) and target the "plate factory" (don't know the name exactly, something with plate and its orange colored) and click "details" (right - down). That will open a window from that factory. If you select the production module - reinforced metal plating production/hour and click "details" you will see what the factory needs to produce the reinforced metal plating, and most likely that station will need refined metals (which you make in youre first station).

So order a bulk ship to sell some of your refined metals to the station (I chose Omicron Lyrae - Eclipse clouds - Ratfish Waters - Hardware supplier 3). Or just buy some refined metals and sell them at the station wich need them.

I just stayed at the hardware supplier when i order my bulk ships to come with refined metals. Once my ships arrived and traded them with the station i could see the production start and make around 230 reinforced metal plating every 7 min.

So every 7 min i saw that trade offer pop up in my trade channel and i rushed in with my container ships to buy it all.

Wall of text sorry, hope it helps.

Yeah, I realized I kinda necro'd it, but I ran into the same problem and noticed that there wasn't a good solution on the forums, so... yeah.

But yeah. If you need a ware, just go to Roguey's site, look up the ware, then check the Station Producers. It will list all default NPC stations that produce the ware.

It's better to check list of producers, and then make sure on Rogue's map that the factory is really selling the stuff.
Because there are many factories that produce RPM, but most of them don't sell it (they use it in their own production).
