1) The engines are floating beside the ship
2) Boosts for some seconds ... stops ... booosts
3) Takes even longer for simple go to position command than usual dump AI
And thank god this thread is not about buying software from mechanics ... i'd have to talk tabout being stuck in an invisible menu rendering the game broken as soon as you pres s buy or sel...
I guess if i want a good X instead of a almost at the brink of nearly quite good i have to programm it myself.
Well I knew the Arawn Problem. For newly spawned ships this Problem seems to be gone. Maybe some older ones may still have the engine displaced. I did a clean start.
The AI all in all is better in some aspects. It now retreats and formation behavior is better. If you have a large fleet and small space to move it still may have some problems. But that could be expected - I had no major problems so far.
If you releate to broken AI in the way that sucellus and Balor will do frontal attacks. Well ocasionally. Balor at least - i have no sucellus to test - will do some sort of attack runs. Not sure if intended but it will fire it's missiles at least. But this could still need some work, so we get specific Movements fitted for the ships.
If your ships fail or are slow, it's mostly because your crew should have some better skills. I go for fully leveled crew on my ships. (Gained a virtual seminar for every skill and then change amount to 9999 in savegame XD ....)
Go to position works, but sometimes there are some weired moves and they are not always taking the shortest path.
To conclude ... AI is still not perfect, but it will perform well in most situations now (well in termns of, not getting stuck or something like that and getting it's jobs done.), but still lacks special attack patterns for unique capitals.
The stuck menues seem to be gone too.
As for Sucellus', I've noticed that while they don't sit at a long range hitting things with their IHC, they DO make as much use of it as possible and may even attempt to get their foes in front of them to do so (As I've noticed they use them more than they used to)
Well there seems a workaround for that. Order your arawn to move to another sector.
That has been reported as "repair laser" mod fault, you can get more information on the issue in this thread:

It's a new install after 4.0 was released.
Arawn AI seems to be broken and the engines do float besides it. Switching the sector (myself or the arawn <- latter takes ages with SETA) does not help at all.
Perhaps they missed it fixing this issues for the Linux version. But i don't know a single reasonable reason why should this have happened.
And to be honest i won't start a new game again. I am too lazy to do all the smalltalk ♥♥♥♥ again.
