who are the good and bad in that game
i didn't finish the story mode, so i don't really know who are the good guys, and who are the bad. who are the good ones, the most democratic, and who are the most tyrannic/criminal in the game. the encyclopedia is not accurate enough. . i want to know, i don't want to attack/steal the good guys

The one bad people are Xenon and the hive mind race and the pirates. The other factions are more or less the ones you want to get on thier good side.

It can be whoever you want, really. It's a sandbox game. You're free to choose your own allies and villains.

plutarch isn't a huge tyrannical company ??
pirates are reivers, and sovereign syndicate, this is it

A number of the Companies have questionable history. Sticking to attacking Pirates and Xenon for the most part is straight forwards, there's not much trade or side missions for siding with the pirates in the Vanilla version.

You've also got the Heretic Vanguards as a pirate faction, based out of Omicron Lyrae.

PMC is very much a tyrannical company these days, but that's covered in the plot so I won't spoil it.

It's like this:

-You're the bad guy
-Everyone else is the bad guy.
-The Xenon aren't technically guys, but they're bad whatevers.

i'm hesitating attacking the Plutarch. as they are pretty powerful.but it can be a way to make good money too. as they have lot of properties. i suspect the Plutarch to hide something evilish. they are rich, and they try to appropriate the Xenon technology for them. dominating the Plutarch would mean, becoming the galaxy king. but i need to build a powerful military fleet first. i just figured out how to build, repair, improve or sell large ships
Xenon are kinda bad but not really. They're just robots. They're bad in the eyes of those are in their sights.

Pirates are divided into many groups. Sovereign Syndicate is an anti-terran terrorist group, they're more delusional and fanatic but not 100% bad.

Reivers are survivors who got stuck in DeVries when the gates shut down, and decided to steal resources from the Canterra to survive. They're kinda bad but at the same time, they were led into being bad.
Atlas pirates are roughly the same as reivers.

The Beryll syndicate are quite bad, they weaponised Xenon tech to enhance their own. They used to be part of the Yaki pirates, if I'm not mistaken. Quite bad aswell.

Plutarch, bad. Slavery, kidnapping, holding off tech from public, corroding other powers in the system - just for self profit. Bad bad bad.

The teladi pirates pretty much steal only for profit. They're morally bad, but not neccessarily evil.

Khaak homeworld was devastated by Paranid. They're for revenge, not 100% bad though.

...so, were the Boron the only good guys then? XD The X universe is a very morally gray place, ain't it?
Borons are just a race, not a faction. There were pirate borons, terrorist borons, good borons.

Good point. I always thought it was kinda funny to see a Boron's face pop up in combat when getting raided in X3.

@ Scimitar101: Thanks a lot.
yeah, i'll have to build military ships. to escort my cargos across Plutarch terrtory, once i declared war to them
I recommend using Lyramekrons, they hold a lot of cargo but at the same time they have very powerful armor and quite powerful weaponry. They're awesome destroyer-hauler hybrids. I think a Lyramekron can beat a Taranis without bigger problems (which is the most powerful Plutarch ship).

Bad Guys - Plutarch (Plot), Xenon, Kha'ak
Pirates - Sovereign Syndicate, Reavers, Heretic Vanguards
Good Guys - Argon Gov, Family Ryak, Heart of Albion, Jeferson
All others are neutral, although No Limits is pirate-esque.
