The Xenon Hunt 3 mod adds docks to the I and K if you like.

THAT SAID... I ASKED if my ability to currenly use a K WITHOUT that mod is a bug or a new feature. That's actually what I created the thread for, not to debate the validity of utilizing terriformer vessles.
Yeah, no worries, nerd. XD
Except this makes 0 logical sense. Not hurting humans was also in their original programming and we see where that went. The Xenon have completely redesigned their ships into something like large bug bodies to house their electronic minds. There's no way they completely redid the capital ship design and still left in a helm so that humans can board them and take over.
Yes, it's a bug and you're not supposed to be able to board xenon capships.
Most of the time when you board you have to repair some stuff. Perhaps it could be considered that if you move an Engineer across, they build whats necessary for a human crew to be sustained while they go about doing the repairs.
It can also be considered that each human sent across uses a boarding pod, so perhaps they are living in that initially.
First, thanks for confriming that it is a bug. Second, whether or not taking over Xenon ships made sense, past or present, is irrelevent to the lore they already wrote. Besides, it's not like you couldn't modify something.
As for the bug design, it's horrid. This company really needs a creative director, because they're so unfocused that it is almost painful to watch. The original XR screenshots they showed for Xenon ships were much better looking period.

Instead, they look like grubs. Someone at Egosoft is taking too many design queues from Gallente and Sleeper ship designs in Eve Online. Frankly, I preferred when Ego did it's own thing.
Except it's not a bug but designed. Did you not read the patch notes you were provided or something?
There. There's your patch notes again. It's not a bug. You just don't like it.
Except it is a bug. Xenon K and I are XL vessels. M,N are Small and P's are Medium. You're not supposed to be able to board K's and I's. You're only supposed to be able to claim N,M, and P vessels.
Aside from that, I like that they're making their ships look like actual, physical bugs or grubs. It makes perfect sense. The only shape that would be better would be a giant squid like the Reapers.
I don't see anywhere in the patch notes where only the S/M ships are supposed to be claimable. Just
Look, I'm tired of this pedantic crap. The big Xenon ships don't have docking ports in vanilla. Add a mod to put them in. Argue the rest amongst yourselves.
From your own post above:
RC2: Added ability to claim small and medium Xenon ships.
As said, I have crewed Xenon Ks patrolling.
MFG
Ketraar
By "bug", I meant it LOOKS like an insect instead of a machine. That was the point I was making.
As far as the design... Well, I see they conveniently left out a serious L size fight ship for players.
OH! That kind of bug. Yeah, and I have no idea why they look like bugs. Sorry! I failed my reading comprehension check. :-p
(The K is the L-class entry. The I is the XL.)
