Worth, is an abstract concept that will be different for everyone, unless you find common denominators, it will not be possible to accuratly define what is "worth" it. Personally I fond that adding a warehouse and 3 new systems and some new wapons is indeed worth it, but thats me.
MFG

I agree with the Relative term of 'Worth'... but I was hoping for reasons why it WAS or WASN'T worth it. In any case... I assumed the Demo was for ReBirth Vanilla. This is awesome... Much Thanks == I'll give it a shot.
EDIT: It won't let me DownLoad the Demo. When I click it, it just takes me to ReBirth in my Library. Oh Well... it was worth a shot... Thanx Anyways!!! :)
In any case, the amount of actuall size and scope added to HoL will almost double the game's universe, but mostly it will add 2 of my favorite system and none are Home of Light.

Also... is there a new start(s) with HoL that makes it worth giving up everything and starting over???
I do like the sound of the WareHouse; in X3TC I used to use Super Dolphins (docked at my Trade Station) for warehouses.... a WareHouse Station is obviously much better. However... in ReBirth I've never really had an issue with overstock; so how useful is it really? (Note: I'm not being arguementative, just looking for new ideas in game play.)
Can you define Complete/Balanced??? Just curious from your Point of View!!!
Ultimately I know HoL is only Ten Bucks... but all games get repetitive in time; I've clocked over 1000 hours as is; so spending $10bucks on a game that gets boring in a few hours becomes a bit of an issue; Though simultaneously... I'm becoming desperate for a game to play (grin).
As always... I do truly appreciate Thoughts & Opinions -- Advanced Thanx!!!
I'm noticing in the trade menu a new color (which I don't recall being there)... Orange.
Green is My stuff...
Red is Hostile stuff...
White is Neutral stuff...
What is Orange??
And please correct me if I'm wrong on the others; and/or if there are other colors I've yet to see.
Advanced Thanx!!!
Red = enemy
white (blue) = neutral
orange = illegal without License
Licensed products are Medical Supplies, Narcotics, Spacefuel, Spaceweed
Licensed Inventory Items are Alcohol, Albion Tobacco, Spaceflies, Spacefiy Eggs... diverse other Goods.
To Explain:
if it shows Orange you should check if you own the License to Transport those Goods.. from the Buy Location across the Universe to the Sell Location... otherwise the Local Authorities will force your Captains to Jettison the not permitted Cargo into Deep Space.
Awesome... that was a Major Need to Know for me!!! Thanx!!!
Right now im swiching from explorer to empire builder, I have a lot more money whitout farming then "4 years ago", balanced smooth progress (trading agents, trading, missions, scener, boarding.. mybe jump coolant was litle pain, but JD negate this efect). Bigger galaxy also offer beter late game scenario, super hungry galaxy becouse chain manufacturing is heavy distrupted...Lets see how big must be player empire to feed all wars/shipyaards etc..
Bigger is better in this scenario.
Mmmm... Jump Coolant... sounds like fun; My kind of Immersion (smile).
Bigger is Always Better!!!
Thanx for your input; thus far I have to admit it sounds like it's definately worth it... though I'm still wondering about the Save Game Compatibility. I have eyes on, at least, 75% of the stations... and that's a task I'm not looking forward to repeating.
i don't want that the AI sells any overpriced stuff to me nor do i want that the AI buy for dumping prices at my stations.
all the raw materials, from Ore, Ice, Silicon and Nividium go into the local Warehouse... get collected by the various Station Freighters... is processed in the Factories... and finally delivered back to the same Warehouse as a finished Product.
i have to say.. i use a Forum Mod that is able to link the Accounts of all the Managers towards the Manager of that one Warehouse exclusively.
And this lucky Guy tosses hundreds of Millions Credits at me frequently.
i also use MT Station logistics to transfer Goods between warehouses... so my Produce gets shipped to Albion and Omicron from my DeVries Warehouse... and ofc it goes in the other direction too.
in theory... yes.
if the warehouse in the system you want to setup stations gets a steady supply of construction materials it will be able to dispatch those materials across all your construction sites in that system.
as i have said... i use my warehouses in combination with the MT logistics Mod... for the plot i produce RMP, Bio-Optics and Reactors in Albion and let them ship to my local Warehouse in DeVries.
it would be also possible to simply setup a warehouse in Albion and just let the AI sell you the materials... Ledda and others often carry them and it is a way to legally obtain them... without raiding PMC if one wants to befriend them after the plot for example.
