How to buy the Assassin ROV from the Drone Dealer

I select the Assassin Drone from the Drone Dealers inventory but nothing happens.

If you still have room for more drones you should be able to use the slider and add it to your buy list, then hitting the OK button.

I can't move the slider. Shows a 3 on the left side of the slider and a 0 on the right side.

As I said, do you have room in the skunk for more drones? Also do you have money?

Doesn't even look like the drone costs anything. Not sure about having enough room in the skunk...I'll have to figure out how to check. I have only played the game for 2 hours.

Well move the slider gradualy to the right and it will add drones to the right and update the Transaction value (wher it show 0 now). Then hit OK.

If you have enough money you buy the drone. The Price should have been show in the previous window.

It won't slide because I don't have enough money. The previous menu shows the cost of the drone. Now I need to figure out how to go make some money.

but your picture tells me that you don't have enough money to aquire at last a single Assasin ROV... that means you are not able to move the slider further away than zero.

you said you have played for 2 hours: what has happened to the money Borman gave you?

I assume you were forced to spend it to Hire a Crew for your Rahanas... if thats true than go with your Freighter to the nearest Capital Shipyard (in Shady Vault for Example, the next Sector on your Route) and let a L Ship Dealer take some Drones from your Ship.

Yes, I hired a pilot, an engineer, and a defense officer. Maybe I did something wrong. I'll just start a new game since all the missions on the bulletin board have a difficulty level of hard or very hard. *sigh*

nah.. you did the perfect right thing...

you just ran out of money.


i already have mentioned how you can get your hands on some more money... you are not forced to follow the Story Line 100% from the beginning.

You can always take Station Defence missions regardless of difficulty simply because the station has a bunch of guns on it to defend itself with. You just get paid more if you kill a few of the attacking ships.

And with more, means you get a lot more if you actually kill stuff yourself, plus rep and loot.
