Construction Site question

Do I have to build the ship at the construction site already on the map or can I create a construction site at my base ?

you can build it at your base. but you would have to go to the construction site for the pack stations / collection points later to pack the collected items.

i saw a lot of players who built it on their own base. just need to build it on a flat floor
