Daily Climb leaderboard didn’t update our faster time
Hey! My friend and I completed a Daily Climb in about 31 minutes, and the result appeared on the leaderboard.

We then replayed it and finished in under 20 minutes, but the new time wasn’t saved — the leaderboard still showed our first result.

Is this a bug, or are only first attempts supposed to count? The leaderboard feels a little inconsistent in general, so we weren’t sure how it’s intended to work.

Pretty sure the leaderboard shows scores, not times. Unless it was changed in a recent patch, I've not even seen a time in that
Leaderboards looks strange, to be honest. Sometimes, it's just not loads leaderboards and says "there is no scores". But when i finish the runs, as i understand it's sort by times, there is no scores.
Daily runs only submit your first played run. Otherwise it would be very easy to cheese it and get a high score by playing it over and over.
And yes - daily runs track score, not time. It specifically says 'Compete with other players for the highest score'. Whether or not time affects your score, im not sure.
you can still beat yourself daily... LMAO.
It's kind of fun to see how much better you can do on a 2nd try.

Yeah, firstly i thought about scores. If you beat more elites, then you get more scores.
But, and the end of run there is no scores which i can see and leaderboards also not shows it.

So, it's will be great, if a developer will tell how leadeboard clearly works)

It does scale by scores but for whatever reason scores are not shown on the leaderboard, only floors, badges and time. I really doubt those are the only factors because it'd make the existence of the score system entirely pointless.
Leaderboard in general has been pretty buggy and unpolished since release but I imagine its not high priority to change it.
Looking near the top 100 of the leaderboard, I can see scores with identical badge and floor counts, but one has a time thatss longer than the other. So yeah score definitely does affect your placement, but for whatever reason the UI does not show it.

Today i see in leaderboard Top-1 has 60 stairs. Idk how it's possible, looks like somebody is cheating. He was only one, who has this amount of stairs.

Leaderboard cheating is obv gonna happen and devs aren't gonna invest into anti-cheat for a game like this. Not at all worth it and would end up hurting the user experience
