Why there's no gunship 2000?

I recently played gunship 2000 on Dosbox and PS1 and realized that it is just a superior version of this game, featuring various randomly generated missions, more helicopters and good controls and UI. It's shame that real good classics like gunship 2000 and comamche 3 are not available on steam, because all the cracked versions of gunship 2000 are corrupted and often crash. And PS1 version lacks additional battlefields and mission builder.

Even genuine GS2000 version will crash if you set your DOSBox cycles at certain values. Try setting cycles=30000 in dosbox.conf, with that setting the game never crashed for me.

I tried but playing with 30000 cycle was horrible. I'd stick with PS1 version which is very smooth.

Are you sure it was 30000 and not 3000? With 30000 cycles the game should run pretty fluid. Here's an example, I had it set at 30000 cycles:

There is, along with first Gunship, released by Atari not so long ago. Just do a search in the Steam store.
