Tom is dead at the end. If you visit the shack in the woods, you find his body in a condition that makes "butchered" look like Saturday morning cartoons. I'm PRETTY sure that Ralph killed him, and you hear him in the shrubs near Black Mirror Castle saying that he was just "playing with him a bit." Maybe Ralph killed Phil as well, as vengeance for the torture, or maybe it was Tom making sure his accomplice couldn't turn him in.
Greg's death might have been just an accident - the castle is old and weakened. It isn't beyond imagining that the cement or whatever holding the skull up just gave in at an innoportune time.
As far as we know, Murray is still running his hotel, though now that there aren't any more serial killings (maybe? maybe there are shades running around) business might get VERY stagnant.
Phil also can be found dead in his shack (if you go and check it out sometime near the game end) and also his death is a mystery.
So maybe there is no single killer and some deaths are by accident, but that goes in the margin of the black mirror pattern, which I don't like. It would have been more interesting to find out that there is someone still trying the resurrection after the death of Angelina. Thank you for the clarification though
However it got so text-heavy the longer it dragged on I didn't follow everything closely.
And my impression of the whole series was that there wasn't much ambition to tell a coherent story that works everything out leaving many things unfinished out of laziness.
edited cause I missed the replies.
mkaouer, you mentioned to write a review, have you?
Tom was killed by Ralph, presumably either Tom tracked down Ralph to kill him but it backfired or Tom came across the hut whilst trying to evade the police and Ralph killed him. Tom and Phil of course were Ralph's torturers.
The only unexplained death was the builder's, which could have just been bad luck.
As for no emphasis on a killer in the third one, that's because there wasn't one. It wasn't a murder mystery it was about how to exorcise Mordred.
People don't pay any attention, haha..."plot holes" *smh*
