Do you remember this game and if so was it a big inspiration?!

Dev here - I have never heard of that! I'm having a hard time finding any info, but I would love to know more. The dogsledding concept was kind of a spur of the moment inspiration.

It was one of those amazing games on the Apple II that I played in school alongside of Oregon Trail and the like. I sadly couldn't find much on it either, but this looks like it will fill that niche perfectly!

This was a game we played in elementary school. A lot of people think it is the Yukon Trail. Dog Sled Ambassadors let you choose your sled dogs and assign them positions as you participated in a sled dog race (I think), this included different events like you needing to feed/care for the dogs and if one got sick they had to leave the race. Each dog has a write up on its' personality etc.

So, this is a super old thread, but I google this game every so often. I have super fond memories of it as well and I actually tracked down a copy of the game on floppy disk lol. But I am not a programmer or anything and am not sure how to get it to the right hands to be put up to be emulated!

If anyone is still looking for this, there is a whole collection created by MECC

There are two bootable hard drive images in the 2mg format that can be run using the AppleWin emulator. I do not know how to extract individual games back to single floppy images.
The Library of Congress on has Side 2 and I could not locate a Side 1, but it is playable through the bootable collection hard drive images.

You'll never believe it, but I found a corrupt copy of Side A and then discovered CiderPress, extracted the files from the 2MG image and replaced them in the corrupted DSK and the resulting file should work.
