Bunny Hunt side quest?
I'm following like the only walkthrough available on the net right now for this game because let's face it, it's fairly cryptic in some spots.

Any way, near the beginning of the game it said to go in to the "bunny forest" which was one of the forests west of the first town.

The wallkthrough said there was some guy in there that wants you to catch bunnies and upon further inspection there's an achievement tied with this side quest.... but like, yeah the guy never showed up...

Now I'm about half way through the game and haven't seen the map screen in like 2.5 hours... was that some kind of glitch? Does the bunny quest guy eventually show or did I miss out?

He is right by the entrance to the forest with all the rabbits. He is kind of hard to see.

Weird... yeah I missed him then.. ah well, hopefully I can go back at some point.

You can do the bunny sidequest later in the game.

Maybe you turned off the map screen?

No I entered the forest, I just didn't see him anywhere... might be cause I'm playing with the HD+ graphic settings, I couldn't find the beaver for a good 10 minutes... This directors cut of the game is confusing... There's only one walkthrough on gamefaqs for this game and some parts just don't match up to what's actually going on.

I just got to the basement part in Ludon and in the walkthrough I'm reading he says you can traverse the basement but the characters just tell me to come back later and I automatically get booted out... One thing I'm not enjoying about this game are the missables and how the game is kind of layed out... it gets confusing to tell if you're on the main quest or an optional area.

... but I guess every game can't be Chrono Trigger or Final Fantasy VI. ;)

There is another thread where kaskelotenzebbe gave me a snapshot of that rabbit hunter:

If a remember correctly, most of the 16-bit era JRPGs have missables, so does Pier Solar :)

The walkthrough is for the Mega Drive version, the HD version has a few updates which aren't covered. The basement in Ludon is one example.

The game is linear, but optional areas are put here and there so the player can explore a bit.
