Tips on some settings to improve your enjoyment
Loving the game, but for some reason, at least at the current version, the default options presented in game are not to my liking.

Given the fact that some options are a little out of way I made this quick tutorial for your first minutes of game. All options must be done once the game starts and you can control your character (why they aren't on the options in main menu is beyond me).

To access the option screen press D button on keyboard or X button on Xbox 360 controller and then select "Options"

- Auto-run: Self explanatory. Turn it on to not have to press S/B to run. The buttons will switch to walk when pressed.

-Path-finder: At first I tought this was a bug. For some reason your character keeps auto-turning when hiting walls, which would be nice if he also didn't auto-turn on barrels, chests and any other thing you might want to investigate for hidden items. Turn this off to fix this.

-Scanlines: self-explanatory. Not the best CRT filter but will do the job.

-Track-list: Change to FM to listen to the original Genesis/Mega Drive tunes.

- Theme: The default is HD, which is the HD scenery and SD sprites you see. Change it to 16BIT to have the old Genesis look or HD+ to apply a filter to the SD sprites (no HD sprite? come on!). Most of the time I switch between 16BIT and simple, both with scanlines on, to give a better retro feeling.

Hope I've helped.

Thanks for the tip about the Pathfinder option! I found the controls really weird when the main character would automatically navigate around things.

Know how to disable the "farting bleep" when you forward the game in discussions? Its bloody annoing, 3 minutes in and I already am ready to rage over it.

You can disable it in the in game options screen.

Only to give the information, the PCM version of music was present on the Genesis/Mega Drive release too, it plays when you use the Sega/Mega CD add-on with the soundtrack CD.

Yeah, Scanlines + 16bit looks great. I also turn off Radar Beep. I like the PCM music though.
