mouse click madness [macOS]

I'm testing TTS on an M4 Mac mini and M2 MacBook Air. It looks like not only is there input lag with a bluetooth mouse, but the trackpad as well on the MacBook Air.

Any left click takes a second to register, if I move too quickly instead of picking up a chess piece I start to get a selection window. It's happening on both computers and is limited to within the game.
