Remote Play not working since last update: Client MAC , Host Windows 10 PC -
Not sure if anyone else is experiencing this?
Although this problem does coincide with a Steam update it also coincides with a Windows update to .NET framework. Indeed it does seem that every time that Remote play breaks (for us) , Windows has had a .NET framework bug/security fix. I would like to believe that, in producing an update, Valve are in fact doing their best to resolve issues with Remote Play when they occur?
Essentially, our Star Wars RPG group use my Windows 10 PC as a host for TableTop Simulator (TTS), whilst our GM remotes in from an old (under powered ) Apple Mac. I then use a separate less powerful Windows 10 PC with a separate Steam account and TTS Licence to join the table hosted by my GM. When it works, it works great. Unfortunately, all to often, we discover that our GM is unable to connect and control the host, as was the case this week.
Thankfully we always run a tech session the day before all the players join the table. After about 90 mins of fumbling about, with (in my opinion) incomplete instructions within Steam-Link, we download the latest Steam Link, paired client and host via Steam Link and had our GM control the game via Steam Link. It does take a bit of setting up, definitely not as simple as just logging into client and host with the same Steam account.

Our full group session went off without issues this evening.

I honestly cannot remember the finer details of how finally got it working. The following is as much as I remember (please post corrections if you spot them):-
1. Download and install new version of the Steam Link app on both Client and host
(3.1.4 I think?)
[1A if you have previously paired client and host on a earlier version of Steam-Lnk you MAY need to un-pair and then pair again]
2. Run Steam-Link on the host PC. Click "Start Playing" and choose "Other computer". You should be presented with a 4 digit PIN
3. Enter the PIN on the client within Steam (Steam>Settings>Remote-play> "Pair .."[...something]. Steam Remote-play should now show the Host and Client paired
4. Within Steam (Steam>Settings>Remote Play), set a session PIN on the HOST PC
5 Use Steam-Link on the client to connect to the host, enter the session PIN when prompted. The client should now have full control of Steam on the host as long as both client and host are logged into the same Steam account.
