It's probably something specific to your save file.
Other notable quirks that I've observed while this bug is occurring are that the camera will occasionally rock side to side for a temporary but irritating period of time. Also when someone either connects or disconnects to/from the room, performance will return to the optimal 60fps for a short duration of roughly 10 seconds before tanking again.
Thanks for the question Sekkuar.
When I'm hosting a room in multiplayer alone, there are performance issues that weren't present pre-patch. It doesn't seem as severe however until people start to join.
That said, I played a game of Chess earlier using just the default stock Chess table with only 1 other person, in a room with a capacity of 2 max, and the performance drop was just as bad as I've ever seen it. So the number of players in the room doesn't seem to matter as much as the fact that someone else is in the room.
When I join another player's room, I personally don't experience any performance drops at all whatsoever aside from the expected latency. So it really just seems to be when I'm hosting.
I've tried reinstalling the game, verifying the integrity of my files, and manually made sure there weren't any unwanted files in the game's directory. If other people aren't experiencing the same issue that I am, then I'm all out of ideas. :(
All I can tell, is that I'm running on AMD and the performance is the same for me on this last patch. Both single player, hosting light stuff and heavy stuff, I'm experiencing the same performance I used to have before.
Could be something to do with NVidia in special.
Nope, it resets stuff like your controls, UI and settings. But it won't delete save files and stuff like that.
Dang, even this didn't fix the issue. :(
