Massive FPS drops when hosting after latest patch
After updating my game to the latest patch, I went into my custom Chess room in Single Player to make a few minor alterations before going live.
I was operating at 60fps and nothing seemed out of the ordinary.
Then, while hosting in Multiplayer mode, I experienced massive frame drops (between 10-20 FPS) that I hadn't experienced when hosting the same room pre-patch.
I tried removing assets from the room, lowering my graphics quality to the lowest setting, and yet still experienced frame rate issues.
I tried reloading the room several times with no effect.
I asked another person who entered my room if they were also experiencing frame rate issues, and that person reported that they were as well; running 15fps on a GTX 970. This person also lowered graphical settings and too saw no improvements.
I went back to Single Player to test the room again. Again, the room ran at a smooth 60fps in Single Player mode.
So the problem appears to occur only while hosting.

My specs are: ASUS Z87-Pro - i7 4770k - NVIDIA GTX 770 - 16GB RAM - WINDOWS 10
DOWNLOAD SPEED: 300 Mbps
UPLOAD SPEED: 15 Mbps

Possible bug in the latest release, or something gone wrong on my end?
Thanks for the support!

I would try a fresh reinstall of the game maybe something went wrong with the update.

Thanks for the suggestion! Unfortunately reinstalling the game didn't work in my case. The issue persists. :(

Quite a strange bug is anyone else experiencing this?

Seems to be fine for me.

It's probably something specific to your save file.

In response to Sekkuar, I've tested hosting the default stock games, i.e Chess, Checkers, Go, Checkers, etc., where the room spawns with just the bare minimum to play. The same problem that I described occurs.

Other notable quirks that I've observed while this bug is occurring are that the camera will occasionally rock side to side for a temporary but irritating period of time. Also when someone either connects or disconnects to/from the room, performance will return to the optimal 60fps for a short duration of roughly 10 seconds before tanking again.

Does that happen when hosting, even if you're alone, or does it happen when people join your server?

Thanks for the question Sekkuar.
When I'm hosting a room in multiplayer alone, there are performance issues that weren't present pre-patch. It doesn't seem as severe however until people start to join.
That said, I played a game of Chess earlier using just the default stock Chess table with only 1 other person, in a room with a capacity of 2 max, and the performance drop was just as bad as I've ever seen it. So the number of players in the room doesn't seem to matter as much as the fact that someone else is in the room.

When I join another player's room, I personally don't experience any performance drops at all whatsoever aside from the expected latency. So it really just seems to be when I'm hosting.

I've tried reinstalling the game, verifying the integrity of my files, and manually made sure there weren't any unwanted files in the game's directory. If other people aren't experiencing the same issue that I am, then I'm all out of ideas. :(

Well, I'm sorry I couldn't help more.

All I can tell, is that I'm running on AMD and the performance is the same for me on this last patch. Both single player, hosting light stuff and heavy stuff, I'm experiencing the same performance I used to have before.

Could be something to do with NVidia in special.

Try /resetallsaved in the game tab, then restart the game.

Nope, it resets stuff like your controls, UI and settings. But it won't delete save files and stuff like that.

Dang, even this didn't fix the issue. :(
