DnD 5E - Started my Sword Art Online Long Campaign

If your familiar with Sword Art Online then you know what the main goal of the campaign is. But for those who are not I'll give a brief rundown of what to expect.

You have just pre ordered the new VR game called Crystellia, the first MMORPG. In this game you start at level 1 and go around seeking quests to earn gold for items and materials for yourself and your party.

There are 10 floors to Crystellia which each floor having a bunch of stuff for you to do and to advance to the next floor you will have to beat that floors boss in order not just for you but every adventure in the game to proceed upwards.

The creator of the game after 1 day of playing the game has announced to everyone playing the game that you are now trapped here and there is a virus spreading in the real world that is killing the population. Currently 100 million people have died and no cure has been found. The creator then announces that the cure is in this game and can be found once you have defeated the final boss on the 10th floor.

Now's your chance to get stronger. Get better gear. Join guilds and make allies to gather enough manpower and information to defeat the boss to save mankind.

Each time you die though, you lose memories of yourself in the real world. Losing memories means your character starts getting weaker. For example, you have died and now permanently have disadvantage in strength saving throws.
