So...if I have no friends...
Is it still worth buying?

unless you plan to make friends with this game's community, not really.

I agree 100% with Rex. Only get it if you plan on at least getting to know some people.

Nah I play against myself in chess - I've yet to win though.

very first thing I did was jump into a random game of cards against humanity and it was cool, so yea, I'd suggest it. There's also an irc chat in game that people talk in and invite people to games. do it.

I've been teaching myself games since most of my friends don't play this. A lot of the games that are too over-priced I've finally had a chance to try out. Other than that, it almost feels like I'm pirating physical board games. My poor conscience.

I'd say still get it. They have a lot of solo games you can play and it's a great tool to test out board/card games ou may want to buy.

If you dont plan to play with friends, and/or dont want to socialise with the community,
this game can still be worth your time if you enjoy Board Games with a singleplayer option (Arkham Horror, Mage Knight, Zombicide).
Playing such games in the Simulator has the big plus that you dont have to setup the whole board everytime you play.
You just set it up once, save it, and have it ready to play within seconds.
And properly shuffling card decks (wich tend to be quite huge in Solo/Coop Games) is a matter of seconds too.

If you just prefer Solo Card Games based on Standard Cards (like Solitaire), I´d recommend to buy a normal deck of cards over this.

I'll just say this:

Before buying TTS I had 4 people on my Steam friends list, and those were some guys I knew from forums etc. Around 3-4 years those where my only contacts on Steam.

After installing TTS my list is 17+ ppl by now and growing! So, this game is not just good for playing all those tabletop games you thought you would never be able to play, but also a great thing to get some virtual socializing. XD

I've made a few friends thanks to Cards Against Humanity and typical poker, but I've yet to find people willing to play specific genres of games from the workshop... I myself only recently discovered deck-building games, but why does everybody get bored and leave when they discover how different it is from TCG?

lol, ADD ME as friend dude! X

I think it's worth it just for the solo games!

There are many solo games that you can play or games that you can alter to be single player. However, to get the most out of the game play with friends or make friends in the community to play with. From what I've seen the majority of people (again from my experience) are courteous and easy to get along with.

While I got TTS to play a specific board game with friends of mine, I've found an interesting use for it. I'm hosting a forum game of Cards against Humanity, and I've been using TTS to keep track of which cards each player has, etc. It'd work better for me if I could have more than 8 hands (currently 11 players in the game, so I'm just using piles and searching through them, rather than hands), but aside from that, it's worked extremely well.

yeah you can always join a random game and make some friends or join the steam group or ask on the forums
