Question for ppl who are also familiar with Vassal game engine
My main pet peeve with Vassal engine is that it has fixed zoom rates. This is a problem if you play a game that uses a large board (Axis Allies, Mage Knight etc). It either shows everything tiny or with scroll bars.
So my question is if anyone has played similar boardgames using Tabletop Simulator and can compare their experience with Vassal. Do large board games handle better in Tabletop Simulator?

Since you control the zoom in TS, I think it is superior in that respect. I've played Eldritch Horror on TS and it has a rather large map and it worked great. I've played Eclipse on Vassal, and while good, the use of multiple boards was a real pain. I was constantly moving windows around to be able to see what I needed to see and drag items from one place to another. Not so in TS.
I bought the game in the mean time and I immediately noticed how much easier it is to move around the board and zoom in etc. And I have to admit that being able to handle tokens in a 3d environment is more fun :)
