Best way to flip a coin?
There used to be a time when you could simply hold a coin, press F, let go, and the coin would flip straight up in the air and you'd get a perfect flip every time. Somewhere along the lines, this feature was removed.

Now, it seems you either have to hold the coin, flick the mouse and let go (usually results in the coin flying off the table), or hold the coin and hit right click (results in a decent flip, but nowhere near as good as the original F key function, and also has the unfortunate tendency to also bring up the right click menu.)

So what's the current best way to flip a coin?

You can roll a die that has an even number of sides. Even can be heads and odd can be tails OR 1-3 is heads and 4-6 is tails (for a 6-sided die). It would be even easier if there was a special die made that had every side labeled either "heads" or "tails".

You can spam F and R to do the same thing like shaking die to roll them. Let the coin go at any time and it'll be flipping, and the result will still be as random as pre-patch flipping.

Or just do what TastyWheat stated: Roll a dice, even heads odd tails.

Thanks for the suggestions, folks ^^ My buddy and I have resorted to flicking the coin off the table, as it does produce pretty random results - it flips as it's in midair, and it flips some more when it respawns on the table, so it does an okay job.

It's not what I'd prefer, but it works. I do miss being able to flick the coin straight up and then trying to catch it, though.

I actually just realised that pressing R and letting go has the same exact functionality as F used to, so it's all good.
