Moving Mods from Documents to Game Data on External Hard-drive

as most of you know, tabletop mods take up a lot of space with cached data, so I've recently moved tabletop off my laptops C-drive and onto an external hard-drive with significantly more space. I've tried to move my mods from my documents folder to Tabletops game data but i get message saying tabletop doesn't have enough space to copy and past the data over. the hard-rive has over 1.5 TB of open space but it says tabletop needs another 6.7 GB when i try and paste in my ~40 GB of mod data. i'd rather not have to download data since that would take a long while, so if anyone has any advice to resolve this it would be appreciated.

You should be able to just move the files inside the cache folders by hand since there isn't any reference to the specific location in them. You only need to tell the game to retrieve the cache data from the new area, then just manually transfer the files inside the folders there too and you should be set.
