Few things to try off the bat:
I assume you're on Windoze. A lovely "feature" of Win, and OSX, (I've played TTS on Linux, Win and OSX and Linux is my preferred system to play on despite missing shaders or whatever) is that it can break TTS when it updates. Did you do a big update to the OS recently?
One at a time--- disable Defender, try to connect again. Disable 3rd party AV (Norton or other antivirus suites etc.) try to connect again.
Disable firewall on your router, try to connect again.
Consider getting a VPN to bypass local throttling of p2p hitches. Yes, ISPs mess with p2p as do firewalls, AV software, due to associations with torrenting and it being a popular protocol for botnets.
I recommend transparent VPNS like AirVPN or Proton (both nonprofits) or Mulvad (if you don't trust hacktivism). Avoid any VPN that sponsors creators on Youtube and Twitch, they're all ****. edit: Proton offers a free VPN service for people that live in oppressive or hostile areas of the world but can be used in a pinch for testing.
You don't talk about your router. Sometimes it's necessary to deal with that but I won't do the effort of talking about it until I get more info.
The above can help you identify where the disconnect is occurring.
