Jigsaw Puzzles?
I keep thinking (not sure how hard or easy something like this would be to implement), how cool it would be to be able to play jigsaw puzzles with this. Not only would it be fun with 2 or more people together but also raise the value for singleplayers a bit.

My idea was, have the program import images on a board and then tell the sim to cut the picture into x (being a number between, lets say 10 and ??? pieces), like real jigsaw puzzle tiles, at the same time the simulator would remember how it is cut so it "snaps" the pieces together when they are close enough (with a configurable snapvalue, as featured in other jigsaw games I saw so far).

So you could solve these on your own when you are bored, or you could have your friends help you.

I wholeheartedly support this idea

I like this suggestion, but it would require a really high max cut number (these are most fun to do with others when they are cut into 1000 pieces) and they shouldn't snap automatically, only when you attempt to actually connect them through a click or such.

I would be happy with 100 pieces lol. I guess it could be customizable to suit your taste.

+1 with bells & whistles on. No need to stop at 2D. There are many existing methods to extend jigsaws into 3D. Of course with TTS, no gravity & an optional snap into place function, one could turn ornate sculptures into jigsaws.

Oh & how about breaking a video up into jigsaw pieces? If that's too taxing on hardware for now, you could still have the equivalent of an animated gif, broken into pieces. One could devise some fiendish puzzles from moving patterns even if only simple geometric figures. Just brainstorming.

All great idea. As TTS stands now you could find jigsaw models and map pictures to them. Would be a bit time consuming to make the first one but afte that I think a process should be doable. As for gif anis....yep that would be a great way to get all sorts of motion into TTS.
