Does Imgur not work for hosting card images?
I set up an account for uploading the various custom cards I want to use but the game keeps throwing the "Improper URL, make sure you link directly to image". What is going on? Why can't I use any custom cards? I know for fact there is nothing wrong with the URLs I'm using. They are the proper direct links. I've been using PNG format images but I tried Jpeg to make sure that wasn't the issue and I still got the same error. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Oh, and I forgot to mention that, yes, I am using the appropriate template. I have tried my own custom cards and popular card templates from other users (like the cards against humanity sets). Nothing is working.

It works for making the cards once, but if you save and reload it will not work. It's also the same with Puush. It seems to be a problem with the game who can't recognize imgur and puush links very well. Until it's fixed, you can always use photobucket or something

either you're missing the http:// or the .jpg in the url. Mind posting what URLs you're trying to use here?

Worked for me. (I tried W-7 and W-Back)

maybe your firewalling Deems?

Nope. It is only Imgur that isn't working. And Imgur is the service I want to use since it integrates well with the automated deck loading app I'm writing to simplify the process of setting up custom games with huge decks.

Weird. Seems to work for most people, but like the OP, it just doesn't work for me.

for me the problem is, that while it works, it compresses images too much and text becomes far to low rez.

Are you sure its not just your graphics settings? If you set your graphics to medium or low in the launcher your cards will look extremely low rez in the game. Once you go to high graphics settings the cards look just fine.

I've uploaded with other sites and the text looks fine, but for some reason the game won't let me produce save files with those types. Imgur compresses things to 1mb in size, I'm trying to convert Yomi over and those cards are beautiful but it makes the decks approach 5mb in size.

What file format are you using for the images?

seconding the post above me. Imgur scales down images horribly, cubeupload is great

A vpn might allow you to get around any country restrictions, but besides that using another image host is about the only other solution.
