Local or LAN play?
My friends are curious about this game, but nothing I can say about this can convince them to purchase it... they want to play it with me first. Is there a way we can play through LAN or on the same account?

what do you mean by lan this game? wouldn't that also require multiple copies?

Hey,

You can play through LAN, but you will need multiple copies as it still has Steam DRM.

You can play hotseat mode with one copy, but that really only works if everyone is at the same computer (local multiplayer).

Not sure about DRM over LAN. I actually connected to myself successfully when I was testing a website syncing on the tablet. Didn't play a game but it seemed to allow it.

If by local you mean on the same computer TTS has a hotseat mode.

Any server is already a LAN server.
You just need to port forward and have people connect through your IP on direct connect instead of connecting from the server browser.

Additionally, NAT punchthrough allows people to direct connect even without port forward.

same problem. There should be some trial version or limited version (for example only play, no create), this game would sell a lot better that way.

For what this application offers, I think it's ridiculously cheap. Especially if you get in on price reduction.

The games shifted over a million copies so far. . . and considering how few people actually make and share mods from that number I'm not in favor of Levying a tax on those that want to contribute to the comunity to the benifit of those that don't :steamfacepalm:
