Changing the player name

Hi does anyone know how to chnage or wipe the player name to add a different name in multiplayer

You cannot change your player name unfortunately. It says when you create the name that is is permanent.

Umm...what about those of us who bought this via Steam...where it never gave us the option to create a player name?

It asks you to input a name when you try to go online.

@Kimiko: Mine currently says "Player Name"...however, Rhymane told me why...as I have not gone online yet, It never asked me to input a name. However...is this something that can be changed? I know someone in another thread asked for a "Hot Seat" option...which I figured could just as easily be the "Single Player" feature...could temporary names be added there, so that people could play like Backgammon or Chess with a friend at the same computer?

Hi Kimiko, I got no message saying it was permanent, it was asking for the steam user name which i put in to merge the account, now I and my daughters accounts are stuck with our steam user accoount names which we do not what shown, it should show your steam nick name, not the account name.

I never got a message about it being permanent and now I'm stuck with a typo :(

This account system is no longer in place, the name you have in game is the same you use on Steam.
