[Blender] Too many Faces on an Indented Object/Board
I was told that I needed to subdivide the object so that when I put in the indent (boolean>difference) that it would help.

This is a screenshot of my first indent in the board to test it out.
The model has way too many faces and is much too large to even post on pastebin (wihtout premium) I'd rather not get premium just to test this out and have it fail once I load the object in TableTopSim.

Is there a way to smooth out the faces of the parts that won't be near the indents?

OR perhaps there is a better way all the together to tackle this.

Edit: I've tried something called Decimate, with one iteration and got this

It works but is visibly ugly. I hope I don't have to settle for this.

If this is a board why not just try uploading it as a board or as a "table"

when uploading a table object it only gives an image option and makes a flat board, this board has indented dimensions to it.

Maybe just make a flat board and then make the indents as a separate objects and then lock them in place on the board? I haven't tried working with objects yet so I'm just quessing.

Honestly, I think it'd be better and easier to just make snap points.

However, if you want to go through all the trouble. The tool you'd need in blender is a modifier called boolean I suggest you use that to save yourself some trouble.
