Help! - Custom deck creation
I've been trying to create a custom deck. Everything I've tried the cards are "cut out" in the wrong place resulting in cutoff images. I'm using the deckbuilder, tried different card sizes, tried aspect ratio on/off. The back is also not correct. It always places the picture in the midle with white sides no matter the width I've selected. The saved file for the deck looks correct. I'm not using the template just the deck builder. I've watched and read every tutorial I could find. Most say that the card size doesn't matter as long as it's under 500x500. Done that. Is there a perfect ratio to get the game to cut it right? What am i doing wrong? Any help appreciated!

I guess the images you are providing arent correctly cut out.
Never had problems that didnt occur from me being dumb.

Cut out all the cards. Only the image you want on the card should be in your file and only one card each. Then open the deck builder and add all the cards you want to it. Export the deck. Upload the deck. Use the link provided to implement it ingame.

If that doesnt work pls provide reference. Show us how it looks ingame, what image you use to implement etc ...

I take a picture (.jpg) load it into paint and resize it (tried multiple different sizes) to 480x300 for example. Using deck builder I drag in the image then copy paste and repeat for different images making sure they all have the same pixel ratio. Here is a picture example
https://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a5d811b3127ccee92883d5b1eb00000030O00AcNGzVy0bsnIPbz4a/cC/f%3D0/ls%3D00902749564820150630070643878.JPG/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/

Deck builder pic looks like this:

In TTS I open the custom deck and paste in the url that I've copied from shutterfly then import.
The deck looks like this:

Not sure why it isn't cutting in the right place. Thanks

From what it looks it it should work. Dunno what went wrong. Just tested it out with the first image and cut it myself.
Guess you can do it with paint aswell but id suggest using gimp. Thats free software aswell but way more comfortable when cutting images.

What I did was open your image. Cut out the edges and save it. Open Deck builder, implement the image. Export. Upload and be happy.

Here is the deck for comparison:

And how it looked ingame:

Maybe it is that you dont save your image and implement it in deck builder from your cache. Dont know if that could be the issue.
When using your deck pic I get the same strange behaviour.

Both the base image and the deck image you posted have large white bars on either side. Looking at the pic of how the deck turned out, those bars are being taken as part of your image, which is messing up the detected aspect ratio and squashing the images on the cards.

I'm not sure why the images you're using have those bars, but if you can get rid of them, it will fix the problems with your deck in TTS.

Alistair - When you say you cut the image, what do you mean? Resize, change the ratio, remove a pixel from all 4 sides? I've tried many different pixel counts (300x480 400x480 420x480 300x460 360x460 etc). Thank you.

What hooliganj explained.
Erase the white bars of your image and then make the deck.
Have a look at your original image. On both sides you have white bars. If you delete those and only use the desired image it works.

Okay thanks. I'll have to look at it again because in paint I don't have any white bars. The image in paint and in deck builder is 300x480 exact. Maybe paint is the problem.

The images you posted from Shutterfly are 550 x 400, with your picture centered in the middle of a white background. It looks like the Shutterfly link is re-sizing the images, so you'll need to fix that when you load them in TTS.

If you look at the end of the link where it says "/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/", replace the 550 and 400 with the actual dimensions of the card.

Okay so I tried a different image, one that was already 480x300 so I didn't need to resize it or anything. In properties of paint I made sure it was set for 480x300 pixels. Dragged that image over to deck builder and copied it out filling the top row (10 pics) looked fine. Upload it then copy paste into TTS. Back image had white lines top and bottom and all the cards were totally white - no pic!
Copied the picture from the shutterfly back into paint and the white lines showed up on the top and bottom just like the back of the deck! At this point it looks like something is getting seriously lost in translation from paint to deckbuilder because obviously what I'm seeing isn't what I'm getting!
Gonna download Gimp and give it a whirl.
Thank you Alistair and Hooliganj for your help!

Ok Hooliganj you are correct. My base images in shutterfly are the resolution I uploaded but when you check the properties of the image it is higher (last test was 500x400 original pic was 480x300). So Shutterfly is to blame (or me I'm a noob at this) Thank you for that!

Try using this picture.

Thats just your image without any white space. If you use that for your deck builder it should work. Its rly easy with gimp to cut the image.
Use the square tool thingy to get the image without any surroundings. Copy it in cache. Open a new file with the exact size of your image in cache and paste it in there. Save that image and import it in deck builder. Should work fine.
