PNG transparency for custom tile images not recognized by TTS (rendered black instead)
I was reading a lot of discussions about this problem. There are many "solutions" suggested - but it seems like none of them I tried work for me. Is there a definitve answer/guide for doing something so simple? I did the same steps about a million times - saving my PNGs with several image editors (ALL of them render the alpha channel correctly), I scaled the images to several sizes, I tried transparency only "around an image" - I tried it on several places in the image - I tried, I tried...

How can something so simple and common refuse to work so unbelievable resistantly?

Both images have an alpha transparency channel - none of them is rendered correctly. Never. Ever. For a custom token it was working - but I can't use a token - I need to create i tile to be able to scale the height.

All the other software on this planet is _obviously_ interpreting the alpha channel correctly:

model also supports scaling x,y,z

question:
how you would like to it render?
1.hole in parts that are transparent.
2.some color parts that are transparent?

Thanks man. Your confirmation that transparency for tiles is not working is helping - at least I can stop trying to achive the unachivable.

I will stack tokens on top of each other - that is also creating a kind of height effect - it will be what it will be - a good-enough workaround.

they should change the minimium height of token, that would solve this issue.

is this possible:
scale everyting up making tokens minmium height smaller.

or this right click and set thickness of token?

just noticed...
this link doesn't contain any transparency

Yeah. It's a screenshot from one of my image editors - showing that the transparent area is recognised correctly (they all render a small chess pattern in these transparent places).
