Vector drawing size trick.
Hey all,

I figured out a trick to reduce the drawing size of vector draw lines on an object surface. Putting this here in case it's useful to anyone.

What does this do?
This is a way to reduce the line size of the vector drawing tool for object surfaces. This could be used to make small enough lines to write in detail, write in small margins, fill out character sheets and so on. Normally the vector line size is very large for any of the typical objects you would write on.

Instructions:
1) Model or open a pre-made object in your modelling software.
2) Depending on how small you want the resulting lines, size up your object to about 10x it's original size.
3) Export the object to obj.
4) Host the object as usual.
5) Start TTS and import the new object, make sure to use the same model for the collision.
6) Make a save game including the new object.
7) Open the .json file of the new save game.
8) Find the X, Y, Z scale of the new object and reduce all three to around 0.1/0.2. You will probably have to play with this to get the right size.
9) Save the modifications and reload the save game.
10) Lock and test drawing on the object with the vector drawing tool.

In general the larger you export the original model, the smaller the resulting vector lines will be. This would work the opposite way also (in theory) if you want huge lines.

It's not perfect, and will probably be redundant in a few patches, but can allow a lot more detail when drawing/writing.

That's pretty cool.
Does this fix carry over if used with the Saved Objects feature?

Yeah, it should. The main limitation is that you can't resize the object while in Tabletop Sim or it'll pop back to it's original scale.
