Trolls? And other question
I feel a game like this would be riddled with them.

On a side note though would there be communities of roleplayers that could teach me how to tabletop RPG? I'm seriously interested but don't have the game right now or the peers to do it offline.

This type of game can old to trolls I would think. You can only flip the table and mess things up so long before the host decides to kick/ban them. Also, any changes that are made can be easily reverted as well. So it's still fun with friends to act silly and mess around, but going back in time is easy.

Check out some of the TTS groups that seem to be pretty active. You can also post in the "Looking for players" sub-section as well if/when you get the game. Here's one:

It's no more "riddled with trolls" than any other game. Not many people want to spend $15 to go ruin some board game geeks' fun. Just play in passworded games so you don't have to worry about random passer-bys walking through.

If you're interested in learning tabletop RPGs, I might be interested in running a Call of Cthulhu game. Hit me up, we'll see how many we can get. It's an easy to learn system. :D

I'll add you and we should do it tomorrow some time

It's gonna take a while to set up. Three or four players (not counting me, the GM) ideally.

The thing with paper rpgs is that they're SLOW. If everyone wants their own custom character, then it's maybe five minutes for someone experienced with the specific game, half an hour or 45 if they're not. Then there's prewritten adventures vs a unique campaign, which also takes a long time to get going. Each session's also anywhere from two to six hours or so.

Edit: If you want something quick and dirty, we can play Paranoia. That isn't ideal for beginners, though, as the rules [THIS DATA IS BEYOND YOUR SECURITY CLEARANCE], and it emphasizes too [BACKSTABBING FELLOW TROUBLESHOOTERS IS TREASON]. Still needs a group, though.

Maybe I should sit in on a session just to start and watch?
