Looking to set up a D&D table for a group, no idea how.
I have the maps for my game. I know how to import them, I just do not know how to set a grid on top of the map. I can set a grid but it gets snapped to the table instead of the map itself. How would I go about adding a map and grid?

the image of the map should have a grid before you import it. look for maps with grids on google or you could add the grid with photoshop or inkscape if you really like that map.

You also can click the "Options" button at the top of your screen in game, and hit Grid, and set up a grid from there. If you do that they minis themselves will snap onto the grid instead of having to be precisely placed!

If the grid is appear on the table itself then
right-click the table
select Toggles
untick Grid Projection

you can either set them as image for a custon table or custom board.
if you wanna go a more premium way have a look at the oneworld addon.

I have not played in many years and never online but it sounds fun.
