Bridge
Sorry, but I don't own this game. I am just looking for an answer to a question.
If four people own this game, is it possible to play a game of bridge?
Thank you.

Yes, of course you can. You can spawn in a deck of standard cards, shuffle them with the press of a button, deal them out, and keep score on note cards.

Tabletop Simulator is just that. A simulated sandbox for games you can play at the table. You can play pretty much anything you can think up. You can communicate to the other players through the in game text chat or use voice chat if you have it available.

You can spawn in standard 52-card decks and play anything that you normally could with those. You can also get poker chips, game boards, tokens, and whatever other objects you like.

Thanks for the replies.
Presumably, I can see my cards but no-one else can?

By default the cards in your hand are hidden to players not on your team. As with most things in Tabletop Simulator, these options can be modified to suit the game you are playing.

Thank you.
What I am trying to do is avoid buying a four pack only to find that it is not what I want. I regularly play bridge with three friends and we are getting withdrawal symptoms during the lockdown. Unfortunately, none of my friends are into computer games so getting a bridge session going could be a chore. However, this could be the thing that shows them how good a computer game can be. Cross fingers.

Just in case there is anyone else who plays bridge and wants to know the outcome....

I bought the four pack. Playing card games works really well. However, Bridge is particularly good because of a Contract Bridge mod by Jay (thank you) and therefore Tabletop Simulator has proved to be the answer to our dreams.

I'm really glad you found a good solution to fix your boredom. Best wishes going forward.

enjoying this game but having problems playing a card from the dummy when it is covered by other cards. Is there a command so I can pull, say the Ace, out from under the rest of the cards in the dummy hand. have tried the toggles 'sticky' and 'drag selectable' but don't seem to work

Just grab the card above the one you want and you will pick up that and the ones above it.
e.g. if you can see A,K,Q,J,6 (I wish) then grabbing the Jack will pick up the four honour cards, move to one side and drop. Play the 6 and then grab the jack again to put the four cards back into the right place in dummy.

By the way, I am now up to 200 hours on Tabletop Simulator - all Bridge. We play twice weekly with our friends and absolutely love it. The best value for money game I have bought. After the pandemic we will get together for Bridge evenings, but will undoubtedly continue to have online evenings as well.
It is a little bit fiddly and took a while to master, but now we have problem free evenings where everyone knows what they are doing. For me, it feels much better than all the actual Bridge programs - the 3D real life simulation just feels perfect.
A word of advice - spend a while shuffling. If you are not careful you can get a high proportion of odd splits.

so I can't just grab the Ace from under neath - I have to remove the cards from on top of it

I also found that I can cut the card I want to play from the dummy and then paste it in play

Ace would be on top. Unfortunately, no, you can't immediately grab a card unless it is the top one. Having said that, there are lots of settings and I have not tried them all. We find everything works perfectly now that we have changed a few things in our own play in order to fit in with the game. e.g. when "cutting" at the start we just shuffle, deal the top four cards, one each, and flip. It works fine, but with real cards we would cut. Similarly, we have got used to handling dummy. Often the player takes the card and the person who is dummy puts back any put to one side and generally tidies.
Anyway, we are happy with it.
