Voice chat on Linux
Is it coming back anytime soon? I don't usually play pub and it's difficult to do because most of the time, communication is handled over the in-game voice-chat.

I miss it too. I don’t think it’s going to be back very soon, but they say it will be back. I know they’re working on it. Unfortunately Unity breaks stuff when it updates. You’d think Linux would get better support since it’s a Linux project. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Shame on berserkgames.

Still an issue in 12.4

No need to shame berserk. I am was a moderator and some time beta tester for Berserk.
I am a linux user for many years (as in, maining linux and MS and Apple can ♥♥♥♥ themselves linux user), this is a Unity issue. I use Discord for voice. It's horrible for people that join pickup games, usually, that means social games. Just use Discord for voice. They won't fix this any time soon, probably. Hell, Apple BROKE this game for their users because Apple doesn't give a ♥♥♥♥ about anything, and neither does Microsoft. Don't blame Berserk. Do what we always do as Linux users, work around it.

discord is not a 'workaround' though

Discord is a fine solution if you're playing with a private group of friends but the point is that for public games you'll typically have to convince everyone else to join a Discord server if they're using the in-game chat, and I don't see that happening easily. For the moment, this makes online multi-player fairly restricted.

One possible solution I guess is to use Proton but that seems quite redundant for a game that does have a native Linux port, doesn't it?

Bought the game today and now realized the advertised Linux support is only half-way, without the voice support...Any plans to fix this?

I haven't been active in the community for a while and haven't been on discord, but I don't think they can fix it. From what I recall it's a Unity issue, so perhaps when a new version of Unity is patched into TTS it will work again. They are trying to fix it though, I know that much.
