Deleting the mod folder?
So i need to make some room on my computer and i can see that i have 45GB worth of mods, i think a lot of it is 40k stuff that i dont use anymore or that i am no longer subscribing to on the workshop anymore but i do have a lot of warhammerfantasy stuff i still wanna keep and still subscribe to on the workshop so i thought, what if i just deleted all the files from the model folder in mods? will it then be replaced when i start up tabel sim with the ones i still have subscribed to?

iirc only reason why u want to leave workshop folder alone in case its dmca. it wont show up on tts program since it doesnt show its subscribe anymore . its deleted from steam and your hard drive that contain that workshop json

assets will only be downloaded once u load the mod.

Technically you are right OP, it will work like this. However, any other links that have broken in stuff you subbed to since you downloaded the assets can't be downloaded again. So some of the mods that used to work fine now may be broken for you. Not saying it is likely, but it could happen depending on how they were hosted.

alternatively use a tool to make a backup of a mod and save it somewhere else, in case it gets deleted or the links are dead as mentioned.
you can also remove specific files TTS mod backup, but for certain other tasks it's a bit outdated.
