I will see if I can get this idea to work.
I got this idea to work.
Very good.
Thanks for the brief and informative reply.
But I have another Question now.
I wanted the "baseless figurine to stand at 112.5 degrees vertical (tipped backwards) rather than 90 degrees vertical . If so when I attach the figurine to my base then if I am at normal sorta 3d observer view then I can see the picture more clearly. Is this possible?
Put it another way ,my tabletop view is roughly 33 degrees tipped down. If the Figure is at the angle I wanted then my eye view on the object would be much closer to 90 degrees ,as in I look straight at the object sorta .This is what I would as an alternative.
It would involve making a new BASELESS FIGURINE tipped backwards at a 22.5 degree angle -rather than a stock standard 90 degree FIGURINEIMAGE.
I know this setup would mean the flat image would need to be viewed from the front ,But I am playing solo ,so this is not a problem. I want to mimic the angled view I am achieving with my Rdoxx Counter Sleds ,if you remember me making them a few years ago?
https://rdoxx.com/price_files/SledPic1-2.html
If you look at the picture ,the angle a counter would sit at is what I would like for my FIGURINE IMAGE ,I dont want him to sit on a counter sled ,rather be standing backwards at this angle. Maybe less than 22.5 degrees ,perhaps 15 degrees would do.
Well, to make the figurine angled you would best place the figurine on the base as normal, then you lock both base and figurine. Then you use the gizmo rotation tool or enter the angle manually in gizmo to the figurine. Adjust the position if needed so it looks right. Then you use combine attach on them. Finally you unlock the object. It should now be as you described it.
Thanks
Yes this worked as I wanted.
Very good.
I did not initially attach the figurine to the base.
Rather just placed him on top of base.
Then locked both.
Then did Gizmo Rotation.
Then did attach.
Then unlocked.
The figures thus created look tiny bit bigger and interact with table Light much better.
They are just perfect.
Made two versions for starters.
One slightly more tilted back and rotated right slightly.
The other less tilted and no left/right rotation.
I used a group picture of 4 soldiers.
They look much more 3D now.
Both versions are good.
