How to make a triangle tile?

Hello everyone.
I'm actually enjoying Tabletop Simulator and i think it's pretty cool and very useful, but the more i'm into the mechanics and more i find problems.
I'm trying to understand more about it, but essentially i think that it is impossibile to create a triangle tile. And i say a triangle "tile", not "model".
Why in the world would not be possible to create a triangle tile but only square, circle and hexagon?
I found some custom model from other users that are pretty good, but the problem is that it is impossibile to insert an image on the face-up part of the model, because it seems that it spread it all over the 3D model as a texture so the image is not clear at all.
I would like just to insert an image on a triangle as simply as it is to do it on a normal tile.
Somebody knows more about making a triangular tile?
