I'd love to re-post my top comment when the dev tried to excuse why he remove it, but seeing how the whole thread he made was removed and not just locked. The dev proved he was just a loser who was influenced by some journalists online who claimed TTS was evil because a guy in the chat posted two immature things about gay people.

The problem isn't that hard to solve while keeping up the GC, just add a censor that blots out crude language.

In my experience, in the global chat, I never stumbled upon anybody who had any indicator of intelligence whatsoever. All I heard from the global chat users was Pee-pee, poo-pooh and Yo Mama So Fat. Along with phrases that would belong in a drunken sailor's mouth.

about 98 % of global chat users who would TYPE ANYTHING in the global chat were total ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. So I don't see the point in bringing back the global chat.

Global chat was useful for pickup games and for lost connections.
And yes, for some time, for helping users with tech support issues.
I moderated it on and off for over 5 years. There certainly were bad people in it... Since it was on IRC, many of these people were not even users of the product.
Ironically, it was self-described "good people" that would end up destroying it.

It was unmaintainable and will never return unless as a port from discord or some other client.
