2 player game recommendation

Hi guys, what are some of your favorite games to play with just another friend, for those occasions when most of the people in your circle can't make it and you only have 1 other person to play with.

At the moment I've only been playing yugioh, gwent and stratego. Any suggestions from tabletop players with more experience?

There's several versions on the workshop -- not sure which one is best. A 1v1 strategic game that comes to my mind first before any others.

Warhammer Quest Adventure card game, that is a very good coop game for 2 players,
also Death Angel, Lords of the Ring LCG... There is also a very nice Call of Cthulhu LCG. legendary Encounters Alien and Predator, all coops, all card games.
