I'm actually very surprised that this went for a good 6 months with absolutely no word on it.
I use JoyToKey (https://joytokey.net/en/) and have setup the following mapping (with 50% threshold on the input from the thumbsticks):
1st Person Mode in Tabletop Sim
Disable Controller in the configuration
Left thumbstick - WASD
Right thumbstick - Arrow keys
D-Pad - Mouse movement (at 50)
LT - Ctrl
RT - Space
A - Left Mouse
B - Right Mouse
X - F (short), L (hold)
Y - L
LB - Q
RB - E
LTB - G
RTB - M
In other words, left thumbstick and triggers to fly around, right thumbstick for looking around, D-pad for moving the mouse cursor, A to grab, B for contextual menu and everything else are shortcuts.
And that works well enough for most games for me. I have not assigned select and start yet.
Here is the contents of its save file. You can copy paste it to your own cfg.
