re: Zombicide, and what TTS does....
I've been vaguely aware of TTS for awhile, and I know that it allows people to recreate tabletop games on their computers, and to do so online. I've watched a few let's plays, primarily where people have been playing custom games or RPGs. In these scenarios everything seems pretty... hands on, or do-it-yourself I suppose. Not a lot seems automated, which makes sense to me in those scenarios where everything is players, or players and DMs.

Now, I'm a fan of Zombicide. I own the game, and play it frequently enough. What I'm wondering is, with the official DLC, are any of the rules and mechanics automated? Like, setting up the board, zombie drawing/movement, noise tokens, or what have you? How much, exactly, will TTS do for me? Would I be gaining much? Is there a bunch of stuff I wouldn't have to do myself, so I could spend more time playing and enjoying the game, and less setting it up and managing it?

Any insight or feedback would be appreciated here.
Thanks.

Mechanics in the way that you press a button and stuff happens in a way that enforces rules are never included in any any games, custom nor official. You'll need to move all the stuff yourself, just like you'd do in real life. There are some rare examples due to new scripts, but that's the case in 99% of all cases.

No, there are no automated parts in the Zombicide DLC. What TTS does is providing you with a virtual tabletop and the game materials. You'll have to set up the game and follow the rules by yourself, exactly as you would on a real table.

What it offers, though, is a fancy overlay to help you set up the scenario boards from the rule book, so you can see exactly where you have to place the markers etc.
It simplifies some things, like scenario setup, and has a lot of handy stuff, like the tokens and minis, but the rest you do as in real life. That's part of the "simulator" in Tabletop Simulator. With recent updates, they added powerful scripting tools and there's some greatly automated games, so a mod could come up in due time, but right now it's pretty much a fancy looking version of the real life game.

You could set something like that up or get folks that have the dlc to help out.

I wish more developers of games would make these dlc, i understand copyright etc with users creating licenced stuff, but if game companies made more like this many customers will buy a virtual version for themselves and families/friends..

This game is like an old school lan mates dream come true.

I keep hoping board game developers will see threads like these or notice themselves. TTS has been great for me to play with faraway friends or people who might not be able to make it to a game night, and even the unofficial Workshop mods have been a nice way for me to try out some games before deciding on a physical purchase that otherwise I'd have probably skipped.

Does the TTS version come with the Outbreak 2 and 3 sets? Or just 1?
Just Season 1 core set I think, I hope it does well enough so they bring the other sets, or maybe even some of the promos. Praying for other games like Arcadia Quest too.

This is correct...

Just one. No expansions.

Hopefully there'll be more to come. Including Black Plague.

And if you want more content, search the workshop for Zombicide and pick "Fair of Flesh" or "High School Funerals". They are all fan made tiles with additional scenarios.
