Performance on Low End PC''s
I have a friend who wants the game but his computer is so low end it can't even play gmod on the lowest settings. The store page's minimum requirememnts don't exactly help much so I was wondering if anyone knew if this runs on low end computers.

yes and no

it really depends how heavy are the game modes you're expecting to play.

Also, playing as a client will always be better in performance than hosting so, if he has some bad PC, then probably better if you or someone host instead.

And finally, remember that steam refunds are a thing. If performance is too bad at start, just make sure not to blow the 2 hour grace period and you can return it.

depends on what you are doing. if you have alot of objects on the game/table you want to play, your friend may have problems.

how low end are we talking about though? laptop? most games should run fine but alot of people have hundreds of objects on a table and that really burns pcs somtimes.
As #1 said, steam refunds at less than two hours is a possibility.

Something you can do to also make a low end computer run this better is to replace complicated models with simple tokens. For instance, with chess, you can have just tokens with a .jpg image that says "pawn," "rook," "bishop," etc.

This is, however, processor heavy. As mentioned above, you should host it, keep objects to a minimum, and make sure he has no other non-vital processes running when he runs this. Firewalls and anti-virus both eat resources, so make sure he kills these as well.

I am playing on a 2G ram and the min of the game is 4! So yeah I do hate when folks gets 200+ complex objects in their workshop game straight on the table, but you can basically turn down the resolution and some of the image settings that is not THAT much important anyway :D It does not affect the physic, nor the fun of the game.
