Right! Let me start off by saying, I don't own the game, I was going to buy it but now that i have seen the backlash at the removal of global chat, I don't think I will.

My Stance on the situation:

The mod team did nothing wrong. A Gay/trans person broke the rules and got punished for it, then starts complaining that its homophobic/transphobic. When somebody does that you know twitter is going to start cancelling you. The best solution is to ignore the fact that these twittards are starting problems. Just don't cave in (too late). There was no Transphobia or homophobia in these actions. Just a deluded mentally unstable person and a mod team who were under pressure in a "gotcha" moment.

Really straight forward.
Any time the mods are on, they are constantly kicking / banning people for being off topic.
The actual bot does minimal and is stupid.
The 'back lash' is from dishonest people that believe they should have whatever they want, regardless of the rules.

you have to remember, mods are not online 24/7, unless you can justify it with prove and mods being in chat then sure, we can put that up as debate.

Sounds like a load of anecdotal evidence to me.

Mods can't be there 24/7, so chances are what you saw happened when they weren't online or paying attention. Given that they even ban the word "feet", I'm gonna go out on a limb and say they also wouldn't allow anti-LGBT language either.

I got permanently banned from the global chat for mentioning I was bi... so whether you want to believe that or not I don't really care. Other people have had it happen to them too.

If you're straight you don't get banned, that's the point. Also what a silly rule... Either way it's their game they can moderate it how they wish, but they will have to suffer the consequences for that, so they deserve the negative reviews they are getting.

Except even when the mods were on, in the evidence that channers use to discredit the claims, people didn't get banned from sexual talk but discussion of sexuality was banned.

And then the mods "clarified" the rules as "no sexual conduct", except that still leads to the issue of people getting banned for sexuality, but not sexual conduct.

So.... Get better coding, tree.

I have seen trolls in the chat not get banned, but yes people were absolutely getting banned for just stating their sexuality. Say you're straight = no ban.
