it will load in the content with out replacing the stuff that is already there.

Thank you for taking the time to reply.
But when I ~first~ load a game, obviously there is nothing 'there already', so I don't understand what's there to load, or what's 'more' to load.
Is it merely a choice of loading a scripted version, or a non-scripted version?

Or does it mean load a game first, THEN add the "additive load"?

Can you explain a little bit more exactly what the situation you're in is?

Hi,
You actually made me blink on that one.
Once you enter the TTS main area, I assume you select create game.
Once you get into the actual area and want to load your chosen game from the workshop or your save area, you have 2 choices.
1-Double Click the game, it will replace EVERYTHING with your 'new' choice. This is a normal action most people do. Click, load, play.
2-Select the 3 dots and select the Additive Load option, and it will take all the assets and place them into the current setting WITHOUT replacing ANYTHING. This usually makes quite a mess since this means you now have 2 TABLES (the old one and the new one) and all the other assets from both games. I would only do this if I were merging two saves or mods for some reason and wanted to keep ALL assets. I cannot reason out a real reason you would do this other than game development. Again, usually very messy.

Does this help?

this, it wont be a diffence to a normal load if you have an empty table.
it is meant to add to an existing setup

and if you do not want to load all assets from an workshop object, you can click the 3 dots and go to search then you can load just the things you want by clicking it.

example: you lad a game, it has some cards, dice and the table to play on.

now you have subscribed and downloaded an object asset like custom dices whatsoever, then u click on game > workshop > the custom dice entry, click on the 3 dots, click on "search" and then you see all assets from that workshop object, sometimes it has multiple items, but u only want a d6 dice of all the d4-d20 dice set included. So u just click on the d6 dice and spawn and you will just lad the single dice to your actual table without loading all the other parts of the workshop and just get what you want and not everything at once.

Also true! Good tip.

I use additive load to merge the Uno and Dos decks. There can be fringe uses.

Thank you Alll!
Was that a legit concern of mine, or is the "additive" thing common knowledge?

It is what the word "additive" means, so it's easy enough to guess, and you could have tried it out, but it's not something anyone's born knowing.
