In its current state, this would at best be "Playable on Deck". Too many things do not work with a stock controller not having inputs overridden by Steam Input Mapping, and that's also ignoring the parts that really would only make sense in a desktop environment (like script editing)

To get it to be "Verified", They would need to fix some quite frankly major controller input problems first - Among other issues, Scripted buttons ONLY RESPOND TO MOUSE CLICK EVENTS, meaning you can't use them with stock controller inputs (or in VR at all - which is where most people first encounter this issue). This by itself really should be enough to invalidate the "Full Controller Support" store tag (getting replaced by "Partial Controller Support"), as OFFICIAL DLC GAMES are rendered completely unusable without mouse input [either actual mouse or simulated via Steam Input Mapping].

So If my intention is to dock the steam deck with keyboard and mouse, I should have a fairly standard experience when compared to my regular desktop computer?

This is exactly what I'm planning on doing as well. Responding to this post was the first thing I did with my steam deck :)

I'll try to remember to update after I spend a bit of time with it, but I plan to have this thing docker here 90% of the time.

Awesome thank you. I travel for a living, about 8 months in 2022, an the SteamDeck is pretty pivotal in my ideas to do D&D remote.

I haven't had extensive sessions but tabletop simulator works well with mouse and keyboard on my deck.

That's great to hear, I hope I can manage to make it work on mine, would be a big step towards ditching my windows machine for travel.

Since that post, I've played about 10 hours in TTS using the deck and it's been great.

Anyone know if a deck controller setup was ever created for this?
