Having Trouble With Custom Model Diffuse/Image
I spent about two days making a custom Diffuse map for a model and for some reason it just doesn't load. I followed the same steps making this one as I did with others that worked fine, but when I go to load it in it doesn't work. I went back and followed the instructions about 3 times now and I honestly have no clue what I'm doing wrong.
I'll include a couple pictures to help diagnose the issue.

This is just the base model

This is it with the Custom Diffuse

This was it when I tried to put it in bumped instead

This is what it's supposed to look like

And this is the Diffuse Map itself

So your model loads ingame but just doesn't show the texture correctly? Did you make sure to re-export the model after you worked on the UV mapping? This data is saved onto the model file too, so it won't work when you try to put the texture on the existing model.

I thought since it was an existing model in tabletop I could just slap it on the preexisting model that was already in tabletop. I tried again after exporting the figure obj and popping it into Tabletop and now it's giving me a failed to load obj error even after decimating it to under 25k vertices.

Alright, so I read on Reddit that if an object is very curvy then the 25k vert limit can still cause problems so I bumped it down to 14k and it loaded in just fine with the diffuse working on top of it. Thanks a lot for your help Baryonyx I didn't realize that I had to reexport the obj for it to stick to it since my other two models I downloaded separate from Tabletop Sim so it didn't occur to me that that was the key problem.

UV mapping is extra data that increases the file size of the OBJ file. In particular a very fractured UV map like yours can increase the size a lot. So really the upload limit seems to be file size, but I haven't been able to figure out how much it precisely is.
