However, there are LOTS of WH40K games on Steam that people enjoy. I play Inquisitor: Martyr (and Prophecy, same game, really) which is sort of like a Diablo game with WH40K setting and there are some shooter games and also the Dawn of War series that is an RTS, so closer to WH40K tabletop. If you look at DoW, most people consider the first one the best of the series, even though it's a bit dated.
Really, though, if you want to play WH40K on TTS, there are plenty of people that will join you for games. They have their own community on Discord to find opponents.
oh ok. I was hoping for an AI to play since i dont tend to play multiplayer! but its ok. I havent played inquisitor cause i think it required online connection always, but looks really nice. Dawn of war i have the 1st one since years ago when it came out :D excellent game its the best of the 3 games. The 3rd one i havent played cause i think they mess it!!. I started playing blood bowl 2 and sanctus reach that i think its pretty close to tabletop, but could be better if they add more factions etc!
Making an AI for a simpler board game is a thing, but not a game with like hundreds of different units, vehicles, weapons & gear, along with all the complex rules for psykers and stuff, plus added to all of that you'd need to somehow program the AI for complex tactical decision making, which isn't exactly easy to begin with, under the limitations of TTS I don't think its even possible to do that.
