there is no a.i. in this game BUT!
and this is only under certain circumstances
if you play a game such as Legendary: a marvel deck building game, or other games as such. they are real life card games that you technically play against an a.i. type of thing
basically there is your set of heroes and then there is the villain and your heroes are set up with decks for each one and the villain is too and you can play multiple heroes or just one per player and everyone goes against the villain and you play cards from the villain to advanced the game so it's almost like a computer style a.i. opponant
also you could play solitaire
but other then board games that are made for 1 or more players there is no a.i. kind of thing and every move has to be made by a person
Usually games intended for co-op play, such as Dark Souls and Wrath of Ashardalon. Wrath of Ashardalon and its expansions works quite well in a solo environment, you just take control of 4 different heroes and away you go.
Here you go, you use common decks of cards for these:

If you want tabletop games and do not want to use the Workshop, you can always scan/model the pieces and customize your own.
What you're paying for here is an engine through which community created games run off, not a game in of itself.
