How to resume a game in progress after brief internet speed issue
Hi. I'm new to steam and TTS. We've had 3 catan sessions (with wife and in-laws) in the past few weeks. During our third session yesterday, we had a brief issue with our internet connection speed and I (as the host) got booted off the server. All participants got the same error (which I wish I'd screen-shotted) and the game zoomed out, darkened, and started rotating in the background. The only option was to click "OK", which threw us back to the main menu screen. I searched for about 15 minutes on how to get back into the game in progress, but we eventually gave up. We were about 30 minutes into our second game of the evening. Is there a way to recover the game and resume play after such a brief connectivity issue?

Normally, the game makes regular autosaves. If you click on Games, the first tile in the Save & Load sections is the Autosave.

Right, but everyone got kicked out to the main menu page. The games button is no longer there.

Whoever was the host needs to set up the server again, and then load up the autosave. Everyone else needs to reconnect (through the main menu).

As LtUlman said, open the server again and the autosave will be there.

Oh great! Ha! I didn't know that. That's awesome. I'd thought creating a new server wouldn't be associated with the game in the previous server. I will definitely try this if this happens again. Thanks so much! Very helpful.
